I used to ride around on my Raleigh during snow storms years ago. I never had a motorized bike back then but I'm sure it would have been awesome. I had fun going down hills and locking the rear brake to do wild skids and power-slides. I never used the front brake because I knew what that would lead to. Other than that I'd say on a motorized chain driven bike you could probably keep up with cars during a snow storm. I've only ridden on fluffy new snow however and I don't think I would want to once it becomes wet and sanded. I bet you'd have to set your bike up for low-end torque though since you're not going to need a 30+ mph top end. It's fun and normal knobbies should work fine unless you're on a large patch of ice.
Im in canada so there is alot of snow come winter so I had to ride in the snow or walk to school (yuck I hate walking) I ride on the side walk, going in the snow to dodge people walking.

I live in Michigan and just got my bike back on the road yesterday. I have been staying of the roads if they are snowy or icy as our main drive way is a fairly steep incline down to the main road, and to start the bike and to get to the main road safely I need some clear patches of road.
This is my first year in a long while with a motored bike, and my main struggle in wintry weather has been my eyes water like crazy even with a three quarter face shield.
Even if my eyes are a little bit misty I have a problem seeing traffic in my mirror. Does anyone know how to avoid this eye watering problem aside from going really slow. I know with warmer weather it will be better, but if its sunny and above 38 degrees I wanta be out there.
The speed limit on our road is 55 and Ill get killed if I go slow. I posted here cause it seems to fit. Hope somebody notices this!
