So I got bored and finally decided to make an adapter for my G2 reed to go onto my ms460 hybrid. So far it came out good, but they only problem is that the online cnc stores charge close to $200 for the thing even though 1. Its not that complex and 2. Its quite small. Any suggestions or anyone on here have or know someone with a cnc? Thanks.

You won't do much better than that $200 price. It's a one off machined part, so there is no economy of scale to bring the price down. It's only $200 because it is not a complex part and small. The last quote I got for a custom machined part was $2400 that was effectively a shaped box with 5 holes and 18 bolt holes with 5 flange surfaces.

Yikes didn’t realize it was that much for these kinds of services. Guess I’ll go back to the drawing board with that idea.

You could try your hand and sand casting one.
Got any tutorials lol?

I’m actually thinking of designing a v force reed adapter for stuff like a saw. I’ve also been wanting to design a billet case that can take something like an 090 cylinder lol.

You can try them, I had carbon fiber drone frames cut and the pricing was very fair.

The other option is trying to 3D print and making an aluminum casting, or possibly finding a company that does metal printing.
