A neighbor gave me his now defunct Neuton Electric Mower. Batteries appear to be junk,....so thinking about parting it out for the electric motor.

Dont know anything about the motor used in the Neuton,.....

Anyone know anything about them and whether they might be a good choice for an electric bike project??

I can probably get $50-$75 for the mower on Craigslist-is it smarter to just sell it and apply the $$ to something better suited to an e-bike?

says it's a 36v setup, and it's likely a brushed motor with a straight up contactor so no speed control beyond on/off ..

a brushed controller is fairly cheap, with a throttle, but not knowing the motor rpm/volt will make gearing it right difficult... if you like to tinker it's possible but would save a lot of headaches by selling it as is and buying a kit.
