I've been interested in them cause there are more lighting options avaliable for 12v systems. The real question that I am wondering is if you change your Magneto to 12v do you have to change your CDI to 12v as well?

i think its only the red wire that does 12v the other does whatever ac voltage but i hear the CDI they sell with it is just a plain old CDI so your stock should work fine

it wouldn't surprise me if you pull off the stock mag and put it back on or another then timing's off +/- 2 deg,,
tho I run my own 12v Lipo system, sometimes I think abt a front dynamo hub for more juice
