there's not many better thermal interfaces than silver, I just don't see the point. this is an engine, not delicate electronics. all you're doing is adding yet another failure mode to the already long list of failure modes these engines have.

Mostly I wanted to pursue the topic with results in case anybody in the future decides to investigate this, and the topic has escalated to sterling.

Can it be done, does it work, what bad can happen, why doesn't it work, what else can be done similarly etc
