Took the scooter out to test the brakes today. I had to readjust the rear and front, but they both work good. I took it back down the road to see how it rides, that's where the fun part comes in.

I ran over somthing in the road and the front tire blew out, got wrapped up in the brakes, and locked up the front wheel. This threw me over the handlebars and the scooter ended up ontop of me. I got a bit if road rash and skinned a few nuckles, but nothing too bad. I'm gonna have to get another tire when I go to harbor freight next.
Tsk, Tsk, always wear gloves.

Oh well, cuts heal.
Amputated fingers don't heal as well... especially if they were ripped off by being rolled over during the impact.

If you ever wondered why motorcycle gloves for sport bikes and racing have heavily reinforced pinky fingers, now you know.

So, yes, GW... wear them gloves.

This stupid scooter is way too much fun. It will cruise at 15mph but it feels like your flying. It has a vacuum leak somewhere because it will idle with the idle screw pulled out and it has a high idle regardless. The brakes are crap but I've got the parts to fix that.

I told you. I have a crummy electric one, a razor c35 irrc and it is terrifying despite the fact that I can go faster on my regular bike. 40nm of instant torque on a 40lb vehicle isnt much but it does spook you the first time you ride one.

Fives makes some great motorcycle gloves for very fair prices. They even have a size chart and guide for measuring so you don't have to go try them on first. I took the time to measure my hands and the gloves fit perfect.
