Best base gasket blue brown black

Which gasket is best blue black brown i dont like blue because if you need to work on something you cant reuse because it is sticky

I like the stiff, tan ones with the crosshatch pattern on them - if you coat them with oil, they come off easily - hard to find tho

I used the tan one with the crosshatch. It looked slightly thinner than the black one. I followed Crassius' suggestion and wiped a little bit of oil on it, but I have to say use a q tip to wipe the oil on while the cylinder is almost dropped into place then you can bolt it down straight away because the gasket swells up immediately as the oil soaks in.

yes, not all case halves line up flat across the seam - swelling a bit helps get a good seal there
