ok so i dont know if they are available in the states but i found a manual in my parts shop called halfords. its a haynes workshop manual and it is a step by step guide to all things car or fuel powered. they have an unlimited amount of books available for cars or just workshop stuff.
they tell you everything from fault finding to a step by step picture helped guide to working on engines and machines.
thought that i would never need one for my ht engine but after some aork with mowers, strimmers, chainsaws, brush cutters etc, i found this one

for some reason i got it and it explains a lot ebout four strokes there is one for 2 strokes aswell. even though my ht engine is not there it does explain about compression ratios and how to test an engine aswell as diagnose problems for me.
has anyone else ever seen these manuals before?
