Depends on which 4 stroke you purchase, but there are many mods to do. Free flowing exhaust, milled head, higher compression, bigger camshaft. Many many mods, but we need more specific information. Here is my 49cc 142f hausheng 4 stroke, it's got a 7/8" stainless straight pipe, & a dellorto 15.15 carb.

The exhaust pipe I built from scratch, its 7/8" stainless steel tubing & i used a $150 Amazon tubing bender to fabricate it. On the dellorto 15.15 carb @ 1000ft elevation, i run a jetting from 73-75 on my hausheng 142f 4 stroke engine. I'm currently running a 74 jet & it's a touch rich on fuel.

Enough to know it, by the seat of the pants dyno. Yes it helped with power, but exhaust pipe needs a snubber/restricter plate inside pipe if you want more torque.

Shifting systems can also increase performance. The most important thing that should be considered is frame/wheel strength and Stopping power. Safety should always take priority over speed.
