Beware RDM!

If I’m understanding this you would need the RDM billet case to run the crank pictured above with the weights bolted on….right?

Im fairly confused about what I bought now. The pic of the crank was totally different. Should be here soon.

This is what I thought I bought.

Yes.. it most likely is the crank you bought.
They’re still listed for sale on page 2 of the RDM site for $200. Still not a bad price for a billet crank.
The plates and weights have to be an add-on. I can’t find how to get those plates and weights and the posted write up states it’s a very limited production. If it all works as intended it’s an awesome idea.
The crank in the thread here appears to be a modified crank like yours. It’s drilled n tapped to bolt on the plates thst hold moveable brass weights. From the photo and product description posted above the weights can be arranged on or off the crank and in different positions to achieve s BF for a given set up. The write up also states the added weight makes the whole crank heavier and that adds more low end smoothness, torque, and power. The true effectiveness would have to be tried to see if and what this crank adds.

The cranks are 6 rows down on the linked page

Thanks Nick
I found them this am. I was using a link sent with the shipping notification which as different. So far no shipment, but at least a tracking #. Hopefully go out in a few days. If that crank is what comes was a deal at the first price.

So after 9mos the big day arrives! Crank is beautifully made. Came complete with bolt on weights, hardware for weights
and mag and primary gear retaining bolts in gr8. Also included the wrist pin bearing. Uses the KTM rotor. Stock wont work. Now to figure out what to build with it.

Yeah that crank is sexy!!! Lots of work went into that crank for that kinda money. Cant wait for your build.

I put the crank on a stand with some bearings and checked it with a dial indicator. Impressive piece. The worst spot is .00025 or so. I thought my indicator was frozen at first. The needle wasn’t moving when I spun the crank.
What a difference from the CG cranks.
With lots of work I could never get my CG crank better than .0015.
