ok i just got a new mountain bike
and when i got it home fitted the motor to it
first problem was the carb. was a tad bit to big, now i read somewhere on here of someone who had the same problem and they fixed it with a copper piece, i cant seem to find that thread, if someone would please direct me to that thread ,that be great.

2nd problem so far is the spark plug tip has no space from the top tube
is there a smaller plug available?

this is the carb problem
filter hits top frame tube and doesnt allow to slide on header

Have you tried putting the carb on without the air filter? It should fit, unless your bike is very small. then put on the air filter.

I doubt if you could lean the engine forward very much without raising that carb assembly right up into the top tube.

the champion plug srdavo mentioned is a low profile (a lot shorter than stock)
it will give you at least 1/2" over stock

thanks for the help guys i got everything to fit for now
still gotta run cables and all

i got the carb to fit by cutting the top of the filter off
is there a low profile filter i can bye or would i be better off making one

you can use a 5/8 copper 45deg elbow, 5/8 copper is used by air cond installers so a good hvac supplier should have one. it sets the carb off to one side or the other, your choice.

ok i got the carb to fit with out the copper tubing.
to put the throttle on the carb has to lean a slight bit to the right.
will it still function with the tilt ?

It will still function properly with a small tilt(not a ridiculous tilt)
If u run into more problems why not just tilt the engine more.....their very forgiving about the angle their placed.
