Bike won’t start

Hi I have a 2 stroke that I bought years ago and hasn’t ran for 2 years now and I recently just got a new cdi, magneto, and apart, and new gas and I can’t seem to get it to turn over or really have any luck trying to start it? Any help?

Sitting for a while, it may be a good idea to pull the carb and clean it. I would also inspect all of the seals and make sure it doesn't have any dry and cracked rubber.

go one step at a time and check each step,one or more is missing to keep it from running.

My guess is carburetor issues.

I did clean the carb yes and I will check for any cracks or dry spots! Thank you

I did clean it yes but I will check each of the issues you guys have laid out for me!

Could you describe a little bit better what engine, exhaust ? (sometimes wasps, ants etc. are plugging the exhaust), type of carburettor etc.. A photo would also help. Do you use the correct spark plug.
My little 2-stroke was standig for 1 year : Animals plugged the exhaust and the 1. 100 Mixtures in the tank plugge the outlet, the gas filter with a brown honeylike mass.
