    5/8 of a horsepower can get you up to 25 miles per hour???

    That is aweful hard to believe! Wow!

    Well, that was probably 5/8 of a horsepower in 1955 - which would be about 2.5 horsepower with todays ratings. :) I think horses were bigger back then.

    I have some old audio equipment from the sixties that are rated at 40 watts output, but somehow have more "oomph" than modern "100 Watt" systems..................

    Maybe the Fed cut Planck's constant.....
