Blue wire Kill-switch/Anti-theft device.

OMG YES! Have a key switch IN YOUR FRAME with the wires inside and it would look so clean, man.
Imagine people staring at you as you're fumbling with your keys and see you put one on your bike. That would just...that's too cool.

I'm so going to do this switch idea.
Pulling out the spark plug is just such an unprofessional
way of stopping your bike.

Would it be possible to run a length of cable up to the handle-bar to the toggle switch
and then back to the CDI.

Question is: would that add too much resistance to the blue lead,
and reduce the spark ? I guess a cable generally has no or really low resistance.

I guess trying it is the only way to find out.

I'll post any results.

My 1.5 Cents (AU)

About the only way your going to have too much resistance is if u made your wires a few miles long...i'm assuming your not gonna do that so take my word for it you'll be fine. :)

thanks fetor.

I bought a water-proof toggle (on/off) switch for $10 today, at lunch,
from J-Car Electronics (in OZ).
(I think I'm becoming obsessed, actually its past that stage.)

Its 15 Amp rated, so no probs with it handling what the magneto will dish out.

I'm going to mount it on the handle bar somewhere, and make use of the extra
wire that came with the standard kill switch.
(waste not want not...).

As usual.
I'll post pics when done.

yesno switch

I installed my water-proof yesno switch.

Its my pet name ok!

I attached it to the CDI , as it was quicker and the mosquito's were out.

I may move it to the handle bar over time, as its quite hard
to access it whilst riding.

I usually get off and burn myself and then find the switch :devilish:

see attached pic.

this works so easy, compared to pulling the spark plug cap.

Thanks for posting that Will. That's exactly what I had in mind to do too, it just took a while for me to understand. I'm the guy who will read books only if they have pictures in them LOL.
