Bluebird II is Done

Back in February I found a Local NOS 2002 Blue 24 Inch Whizzer for sale at a somewhat competitive offer. He had acquired two, both still on the shipping crate. I threw a low ball and it hit a home run including delivery to my door for an hour's drive gas money! (and price of the bike of course) There was quite a bit of selective corrosion so I replaced all that hardware, rewired the bike, de- rusted the main control left grip to get the signals and lights working. Cleaned up nice and I had been riding it around the neighborhood stock and under 25 mph to keep it from WC1 self destruction. Two weeks ago I sent a quick text to the seller to show off my work and to my surprise, He said I could have the twin for the same terms! The next day he dropped it off at my house....

This one was about 50% cleaner than the first one, but same issues. Rewired, replace the rear tail light housing that like the first one was rusted out inside. Fashioned a cover for both of the new ones I installed. Tonight I finished Bluebird II, Looks great and of course has 0 miles and never had gas in it yet.

Plans are to sell one of them soon. Has been a fun duplicate project so far.
Beautiful!

If you were to sell one of the Birds what would asking $ be?

Because of the condition and the work I have done on them I am trying to get $1200 locally. Now, one might say that is too high for a WC1 but the condition and accessories warrant the price in my opinion. They are perfect "neighborhood" bikes right now, but of course, one could upgrade the cylinder and make an NE5 out of it and have a road machine as well.

Barring the OG 40's bikes. If your asking $1200 that's a bargain compared to others I've seen listed. Yours are pristine. Where are you?

southwest Florida. I have shipped a bike from PA to here for about $500; not cheap. I used that U-ship company online with a MC shipping specialist.
