BMX Builds

Hey everyone. I'm on my 3rd bike now. Just now joining to check out the cool builds and to show off a bit. My first bike was typical road bike with a 66 china motor. The last 2 are BMX style bikes. The one I'm working on now is a fat tire Mongoose 20" BMX. Just got around to installing brakes on it. Its way more exciting without the abilty to stop. Ha! a couple of pictures attached of the bikes along the way.

So now it's worth a question,,, how does the chain """correction""" alinement roller/ bracket work...

I know that it helps aline the drive chain so it doesn't rub on the top rear down tube,,, can you adjust it a little bit up and down to keep the engine to rollers snugg...

Thats the cats meow idea for sure...
Put the engine in place,,, then find a spot to aline drive chain to the rollers...

Does it work pretty good,,, are the redirection bearings steel to chain,,, or is there a bullet proof neoprene cover/ sleeve to prevent metal to metal contact...

What 2 bearings did you find to redirect the chain if I may ask
It's run on a jack shaft, and has a bearing on each end. The shaft is held in place with circlips. There usually is key on the shaft for the sprockets. If you plan it very carefully, all you need on the left end is a roll pin.
Princess has jack shafts and bearings, I use mostly 5/8".
