Bottom End Rebuild... How hard?

Turns out there was a puller in my kit. A rusty bag that I thought was a petcock that I’d never use being so rusty. Nope. Its a puller.

Cool beans, make sure you don't lose any of the woodruff keys when you pull all the gears off.

The kit puller is not the best but will work, it's best to use a rubber or plastic mallet to tap the case apart.

Pull the magnet first and stick the keys to that.

So... This bolt on the magneto magnet spins freely. Don’t know how to get it off.

Is it spinning without turning the crank? If so it's stripped. You can wedge a flat screwdriver behind the magnet and twist while turning the nut. You can use a 7mm or 1/4" die to fix the crank. 7mm nuts are not that common however.

Yup. Stripped. Tried wedging something behind it, but cant get a grip. Gonna keep tryin.

A piece of wood between the gears on the clutch side will hold it.

Its not the gears moving. The bolt or nut is stripped. Probably need to dremel it off.

And the puller isn’t doing so well on the sprocket. At least everything is nicely labeled. Lol.

Even the flower nut is tight.
