I wouldn't wanna guess...lol...However a few pics being posted by Godman wouldn't hurt to see exactly what he did and what he is doing...lol...That would remove guess work...lol.
I mean that is really the only way it will seat correctly. In reverse order the opening won't seat on the shaft, and I doubt the clutch bolt would be long enough to seat it.
@darwin I like it. I did bump up the output sprocket count some. On a straight road, I've gotten 36mph. The torque is still decent. I bumped the wheel sprocket from 36T to 44T.

Well I tried both directions to check behind myself. If you try to install it facing the way the second photo illustrates. It does not seat the shaft correctly. Also the clutch bolt does not seem long enough to reach the shaft.
So naturally I installed it the other way as illustrated in the first photo.
