The thing with the occ is the geometry makes the front end light. They make the front wheel skid and or wash out. I would constraint on the rear brakes.

If you get a bolt-on V-brake plate, sure. Those allow you to run a V-brake on a frame that lacks the posts.
You can run 2 V-brakes on each wheel using them if you wanted.

My white bike runs a plate for rear V-brakes (originally a coaster brake bike) and it works pretty well.
