Brake pads instead of clutch pads?

I go through clutch pads really fast because I can't reach my carb to kill the motor and no kill switch so I thought maybe I should try using brake pads for a car just have to do a few things to get it working anyone think it's not going to work

It works, just use a respirator or something when you cut and shape them.

Ya I planned on doing that and I figured it would work I'm really trying to figure out if it works better or if it's worth doing since it's going to be some work getting done

You can buy the material in sheets from mcmasters. All kinds of different friction material too.
