Is there a way to speed up the break in process? One more question, I am using a break in oil ratio of 8 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas, then will switch from 6:1 later. Is this correct

over 2000 really hard miles on it and still going strong.

You need to cut the amount of oil down to 32 : 1 and re jet. You actually need friction and heat to break in an engine. Heat cycle under load, constantly varying rpm is what I've had success with at 32:1
