Up till this morning, I usually just ran down to the true value and had them break my chains for $2.

Well, I was at Lowe's this morning and picked up a chain breaker from them located in the hardware aisle in one of the drawers for $23.

Brought it home and it worked EXCELLENT on the MB chain.

It seems to be heavier duty then other ones I have seen for $10 or $15 online and in stores.

Just wanted to give a good review on what seems like an excellent product...

are you referring to the HT chain that comes in the kit, I hope so cause I really need to be able to do it myself instead of paying someone.

Yes, works on all types of chains, the jaws open up to lock into the links and it pushes the pins out easily.

This was my first time ever breaking chain, and it was very very easy with the chain breaker from Lowes...

I bought a cheap chain tool for $7. (k-mart)
I should have given the money away. At least I would have a good feeling.

Thanks for the tip about true value
