There are so many scooters and e-bikes here in Shanghai, but I've never seen anything like the bikes shown on this site.
I would love to build a road bike with an electric motor, have the batteries hidden somewhere discreet (possibly in the frame?).
Does anyone know how legal this is in Shanghai? I think an electric motor should be fine. Petrol ones might have a problem, but I think <50cc is legal.. how loud are they? can you make the exhaust quiet some how?
