So I’ve been looking everywhere on line for a zaf80 crankshaft with a high piston hole but I haven’t found anything. Anyone know where I can find one? Or if another one would be compatible? Please I wanna ride my bike again! Haha

The zaf80 crank is an odd one,it has a really long rod 4mm longer than the normal 89mm long rods witch means it's crank circle dia and big end location are also different.most ebay venders don't even know what crank/rod is used in the engines they sell but if you have a zae50 crank and a zae80 crank at your disposal then all you need is a low pinned piston and you will be up and running again! That's a cool bike but tbh I don't see any brakes and no pedals witch makes it more of a home built motor bike, I use the same frame and really like it for it's strength and solid feel but it's heavier than most and therefore needs good brakes to stop it properly especially if your carrying any speed.Mine is now 6 years old and has seen various stages from then to now but in the past few years it's mostly just pipe changes and paint work LOL.

I have a zae50 crank from a previous motor, and the new one is a zaf80.. so I’m not sure if they would match up. I’ve been trying to find the same zaf80 crank but no luck..

I might just put my 50 back on it for now until I can find the right crank.. it sucks, cus this 50 tops at about 25mph and the 80 I had goin 25mph with 3/4 throttle is say optimisticly the 80 goes around 37-40mph top speed

I plan to put brakes on it, just have to get the adapter for a disc brake.

You would just need a low pinned piston to use the zae50 crank, much easier to find than the zaf80 crank.

Well since I have the 50 crank, it still has the piston and crank assembled so I will give it a try and see what happens. Would it make the motor a 50 instead of the 66/80 using a 50 crank?

No it's still a 66 same bore and stroke just slightly different geometry.

Well I know it’s been a while, but I’ve made a few updates to my chopper bike build. Has disc brakes now, and I’ve welded to new support braces to hold the motor mount level, using a Harley Davidson headlamp inside an old soup pot I had in my kitchen. Haha I will be making a new rear fender from fiberglass and I’ll post more picture when I get it done and mounted. I plan on painting it here I. The spring too.

When I look at your bike all I can think about is WOW look at all that room for a much bigger motor.
