I was just browsing on a few of the sites that specialises in various aftermarket bits and pieces for the china dolls and I noticed the idea of an extended bucking bar being offered which I think is a good idea....

Then I brainstormed a probably-not-so-original idea of creating my own using tooling steel rods or drill blanks....

I remember buying such rods in various diameters to use as slot car axles when I was racing them for a hobby a few years ago so I know they are available.. so what do you guys reckon of the idea of getting some 8mm rods and cutting up some custom bucking bars to try out ?

The greasy little ball turns with the engine when the clutch lever is pulled. A solid rod would put undue stress on the clutch and clutch lever, I've already welded up a couple clutch levers because of wear.
