Well, i have myself in a predicament. Ive got a few parts bikes that i cant sell (used them for there parts and left the junk on them)

And i have a 85cc techumseh 2 stroke snowblower engine. Runs and has a new carb kit in it.
Im woundering if I could weld another 26" rim on one of the bikes rear wheels and get a 3-4in pulley for the techumseh and make up a tensioner To get it a belt drive unit. Id have to think about how it will be able to get rear brakes (probaly can't) and how to mount the techumseh motor (side mounts only, no base mounts) plus gas tank and such
Any suggestions? Has anyone done this before? (Im going to use a v style belt as i have a surplus of those, if not i can get a specialty belt)

I know, but i have a ton of belt drive stuff. And to get the gear ratio i need (about 18:1) i would need a big sprocket. Plus belt drives are simpler and more light weight as well as i want to try something new

Okay, all that stuff I posted is for belt drive, that big 16" weld on pulley would get you close to the ratio you're looking for, I've seen 20" in store.
How are you going to transfer the power from the motor to rear wheel? Friction pulley?

im going to weld a second rim to the bike, and then have a 3in pully on the motor to get me a ratio close to what im looking for, as i dont really want to mess with chains. just a dead simple 1 belt drive.
similer to this
