Budget belt drive build? Dumb or worth it?

You might make a bike rim work if you use a multi-rib belt from a clothes dryer. Not sure what you'd do for the engine side, though.

i was thinking of using 3 v belts next to each other, as they should be tensioned the same. i found a 3 belt compressor pulley that takes standard v belts. as the dryer belt looks similer, just wider (going to be hard finding pulleys for it)

but this project is currently delayed since my expensive Milwaukee drill decided it doesn't like me using it on my hunks of junk lol
