Build ideas

I dont know why you could not run a torque converter on the 79cc. Alls needed would be a 5/8" to 3/4" shaft adapter. I think the 79cc have the 4 bolt pattern on the side cover. Another thought would be the harbor freight 97cc or 99cc engine, they are fairly cheap & decent engines.
The more I think about it why wouldn’t I go 212cc? It’s only $20 more than the 79cc. Parts are readily available.

Harbor freight doesn’t have the 97cc or 99cc listed online.

Are there any benefits going 79cc over 212cc? I feel like the larger engine makes more sense.

I'd go 212 it's easy to come by parts. I would get a non-hemi version 212 predator.

Thanks for all your reply’s! I think leaving towers the 212. The phantom engine is appealing too though.
I love my Phantom, as do most of the guys here with one. They just released the V3 with some revisions to rhe Ports in the cylinder, hopefully solving the one last real issue with them and ring snags.

Yeah I heard they just released V3. I like two strokes but have a lot of room in the frame and figured I might try something different. The phantom looks like it rips tho!

300 so far...Good low end torque, easily hit 50 MPH out of the box but I like cruising between 30 to 35 MPH without straining the motor, using the 36 tooth sprocket, can hit some decent hills at 40+ if I ever wanted to.
That’s good to hear. I’m torn between the phantom and the 212 predator. Mostly the 212 just to fill the space in my frame

I got my forks mounted.
