Building my first bike and have a voltage question

Hi I am in the middle of ordering parts for my first build and ran across 12v magnetos.My question is will I need a 12v cdi/coil or is the 6v that comes with most kits ok to run with a 12v magneto?

The 12 volt magnetos generate 12 volts ac. The engine will come with the cdi magnito in it.
The 12 volt one would be used for auxiliary lighting or power source but youd need a rectifier. But its only going to generate a few watts

Im thinking about putting one on my bike and adding a USB port to charg my speaker while riding .
