Does anyone have any experience with the bullet train cintrifugal clutch. Or issues in general with them slipping then jerking violently? Never worked with them before .. great engine for straight out of box but the clutch thing really sucks.

I've been having some problems with mine slipping. It's a wet clutch, now I've been told to make sure your engine is setting pretty straight to keep the oil in the clutch housing from pouring into the clutch it's self and giving you to much oil and causing it to slip. I haven't reset my engine yet to see if there's any truth to it.
But hey give it a try what do you have to loose.
 
How come it says to add 120ml of oil in it and there's 2 little Holes in the clutch housing to spot the oil back out of the clutch pads???
I don't even have a BT engine, but logic tells me...
4 oz of oil for the gears and wet clutch
The little holes in the clutch drum are so there isn't too much oil captured in the clutch drum, too much oil will make the clutch slip

Your right, I thought the clutch was dry, but I found that it was wet. Sorry 😞

 
Type of oil can determine if a clutch will slip too. I would only be using a universal oil with a wet clutch rating like Rotella T4 or a generic motor oil with no friction modifiers like most store brand oils (WalMart Supertech, etc). I would not use ATF or high efficiency oils.

10w 30 non detergent is what factory recommends. I found that much when I built by bike
 
THE BT80 IS NOT A WET CLUTCH!!!! The BT80 has oil for the gear box, the clutch itself is not wet. I have never had a problem with my clutch doing what you guys have. If you are having issues out of the box, contact the seller for warranty.
it is a wet clutch
took my clutch cover off and it's drop dead easy to see it's a wet clutch there is no problem for the oil that's added to flow straight to the clutch and yes when I pulled the clutch out with the clutch puller toll the clutch was soaked in oil

I thought the two holes were too let oil in guess what your saying makes sense though centrifugal force pushes oil out

Yeah, I know that now. It is a wet clutch. I'll edit that post. I had originally thought it was just an oiled gear box.
