Received my Zeta today and during assembly i broke the top ring  Awesome! In my infinite wisdom i decided to take one of the rings from my ebay motor (both 100cc) and broke that one too!! My fault both times, it is what it is. Before breaking the second ring, i decided to put the Zeta head on the evilbay motor and it didnt fit, the studs were not in the right location although visually both heads looked identical. Whats the deal with that? My hypothesis is the ebay motor is a 50cc bottom and if i remember right the Zeta is a 66cc bottom end. Correct me if im wrong.

I also noticed the piston rings for the Zeta were about 2 mm thick and the rings for ebay motor was 1.5 mm thick. How would i go about finding a new top ring for the ebay motor? Im sure i can find a ring easily on bicycle-engines for the Zeta but not so sure for the ebay motor. The pistons are identical in width but not sure if the grooves are the same. Anyone got some pointers for me? Terribly disappointed the Zeta got here so fast and cant even rip it around!

hear me out, gonna buy a set of 2 from bicycle-engines and just shave it down with a sander for the ebay motor :ROFLMAO:
but cool site, thanks for the info. bookmarked
I order piston clips from there all the time. They have awesome holiday sales too

Just a quick search lol. You'll have to measure the bore diameter and ring width to get the right ones
ok so the measurement i need is bore diameter and not the diameter of a good ring? this stuff is new to me, i appreciate the help. I do have a nice caliper so im confident in my my measurements
in reference to the hlsproparts site
Would i be just as good off getting the zeta rings from here as well instead of bicycle-engines.com? to save on shipping costs

Yeah, just the bore diameter rounded to the nearest mm
