Good news my friends- my ‘moped’ is officially registered.
More information- on July 3rd I mailed off the official DMV form reg230 and a post office money order- and today, July 25th I received my plate. Awesome
Now, ‘the rest of the story’. If a person searches the official California government published DMV website they can find no less than 3 different amounts that the registration costs. They might all be wrong. I paid what I found to be the highest number- $22. My registration sent today states that the amount is supposed to be $23. Others have reported that a payment $2 short delayed their 4 months. So by oversight, incompetence, or dumb luck- I miraculously shorted the government- and all of you via taxes- one full American dollar.
Sticking it to the man!
