Fuel Mixture Can I use old fuel?

Ok. "old" is a stretch, but I mean, I mixed my fuel in a jerry can, then put it in the tank and it feels like I could fill at least 3/4 of another tank with what's left in the can. How long can I leave it before Its not useable? Or not at all? Thanks.

depends a lot on where you are - different places put different additives in gas - some go bad more quickly than others

whenever I'm not sure about fuel, I pour it into a big jug to use for cleaning the crud that builds up on motors from exhaust smoke and road grime

that would be a good use. Btw Im using 89 octane I believe.
