Carb Adjustments

  1. What are them screws on the carburator fer? (Happy-Time)

I tweaked the long one on the side thinking it would bring my idle down, but no effect. That must be mixture. Motor runs ok, but idle is pretty high, and it just seems a little hot. Just braking her in.

  2. Screw on the side is a idle screw.

If you have A high idol make sure you Throttle cable has enough slack so the carb slide is able to shout all the way.
Next check for air leaks...this will also raise your idol.

  3. If you have more than 1 screw, I would say the longer one that sticks out is idle adjustment, and usually the mixture screw on a carb is flush with the carb housing, and has a smaller screwdriver slot in it, so it will not get "bumped" out of adjustment.
