Ok so I am getting carbon build up on my piston and spark plug pretty bad is there a additive I can mix with my gas to help with it I know my gas to air mix is screwed up but I cant seem to get it right so if it is safe enough to add that additive in with it then it will help the build up until I can hone it in right I have a 142f engine if that helps

Techron is the best in my book. Remember though a pint of techron is made to mix with 16 gallons of gas in a car tank. Could be 14gal or 20 but mixed w/a lot of gas. Techron is the only fuel additive approved by Mercedes/BMW and other auto makers that doesn't void their warranties. Must be a reason for that and why I think highly of it. I've used it for years about twice a year on vehicles and never have had dirty injector issues. Another good thing to do is to use shell gas or chevron that have quality cleaners mixed in with them instead saving a few penny's using cheap gas.

Get a techometer/hour counter. Regular maintenance is a must with 4 stroke engines. I change my oil every 25 hours and clean my air filter every 10 hours. Every 100 hours I do a Sea Foam flush. I put it in the oil case and put a little in through the spark plug hole after pumping out the oil first. With the kill switch off I turn the engine over several times with the pull cord then let is set for around 30 minutes. I do this process at least 3 times. Afterwords I pump all the Sea Foam out and put oil back in. I also put around a cap full of Sea Foam in the Oil and add an once to my 5 quart gas tank every 100 miles.

So far my Robin Subaru 35 has held up for more than 10 years.

I use an Odometer
4 stroke bicycle engine ya should change the oil every 100 to 200 miles = 4 to 8 hours
25 hours is about 625 miles. That's way to long between oil changes
10 hours = 250 miles that is a bit soon to clean the air filter. But it don't hurt to clean the air filter

An old school convention was to introduce steam into the cylinder to reduce carbon, but for a little 50 cc 4 stroke it might be difficult.

You describe the carbon as a bad build up. You must be running rich, or are ya burning oil?

While I don't have a BAD carbon build up issue with my 4 stroke M/B engine.
I add Lucas top end lube, injector cleaner to my gas. 1oz per gal.
It keeps the carb clean and reduces carbon build up.

The Robin Subaru 35 owner's manual actually recommends changing the oil every 50 hours. Now granted the RS 35 does have a cast iron cylinder sleeve, still I felt 50 hours was too much and cut in half the recommended change schedule. So far my engine has held up 10 years all I've replaced is the fuel primer bubble located on the carburetor.

The oil I use is really clear almost like water when new. Once it gets dirty and you can't see thru it it's time to change it. On cagers I go 5k and it's time to change it using full syn mobil one.
