carburator problems

I bought this carb with the square air filter with larger jets. It worked fine for about 2 months. Now its remaining at a high rpms after I give it full throttle and let off. I it just stays at a high rpm like its still full throttle. The throttle or jet is not stuck open and i adjust the float so there was less gas in the carb. It still runs like its full open after I give it full throttle and let off. I also changed the jet and needle and still no change. Any ideas or should I just get a new carb? My friend had the same problem and he just got a new carb and that solved the problem. PLEASE HELP!:bigcry:

i copper gasketted everything but I'll redo it. I don't think its that tho.

Spray something all around it and if it dies its air it could be up on the car/intake joint?

I sprayed some starting fliud and there was a little change so I removed the air intake gasket and used some copper gasket maker and now i'm waiting for it to dry to see if that solves the problem.
