Ok so I custom mounted my carb with a diy intake and some heater hose which attaches to a 90 deg. copper elbow via hose clamps. The copper elbow then hooks into the carb directly. Problem is that the elbow is 0.70” and the standard intake end is 0.73”. Therefore it’s really loose when clamped down. Can I just add electrical tape around the OD to compensate??? Will that work.

Gotta use duct tape if you want ANYTHING to last.
