Two weeks ago, I was driving down the road and noticed a strange looking bike being rode by someone in the opposite direction. I made a U turn and flagged him down.

It turns out he was riding a bike with a cargo carrier called the Xtracycle.
He was a riding encylopedia on motored bikes-well, just about. He'd never heard of or Golden Eagle. He rides his bike 30 miles each way to work and back with no engine. He told me he wants to get a Stokemonkey.

At any rate, I wanted to share the Xtracycle website with other members on this board.

I sure would like to find a way to use an Xtracycle with my GEBE set-up but I don't think it's going to happen. I need some means of carrying "stuff" which I am working on now. I've got a good idea from Hive and I think for now, that's the way I'll go.

I just heard that gas prices may go to 7 bucks a gallon by 2010. That's just 18 months from now.

Cool, Mary!--Thanks for sharing! And I don't doubt the future price of our gas...

    Hi Jared,

Robert Pirsig is so right in his observations. That certainly is my experience too. You know, I think the automobile has further removed us from being grounded and has taken away some of our humanity by separating us from the experience of being (with one another).

Happy to share the link with you. Glad you like it.
