After disassembling my Carter N655s carb, it seems that by looking at the manual
drawing, I am missing the nozzle (6) for the the low speed needle is missing.
In the bike's last 74 years, No telling how many times it's been apart.
Is this piece necessary and if so, where might I get one.
It's not included in any of the rebuilding kits that I see.
Thanks, Jim D.

Nozzle for the slow speed needle is probably important
I don't have a that carb manual drawing
Show us a pic of #6 nozzle

I don't have a pic of this part.
It's indicated in the Carter Carb diagram
on page 45 of the Whizzer Facts manual. (Reprint)
Shown as part No. 6.
Hard to tell exactly what it is.

Also check my post from Quenton about the carter carb differences

That is the same blow up diagram that I am using and it seems
that the nozzle (6) is what I'm missing.
Don't know if the motor was running without it or not.
didn't have the nozzle in it. Just float valve, seat and gaskets.
Might have to buy a parts carb to find one.

It's important. You have to restrict the amount of fuel coming in on start up. Without that jet it's wide open.
