Okay so that piece does get pressed down to that cross member, over the splines. Thanks all for your help today and all the days gone by.

Had this same issue with the cdh frame and fork kit. At the end of the day I got it together and there was A LOT of play in the fork. Then I ordered some spacers this helped quit a bit but there's still play in the fork not as much but with your fork and speed any play is too much. Anyone have any input on how to correct this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated
