CDI plug wire and cap

    Yes I agree run a good copper wire. I have two CDI that came with copper wires and not resister plug cap. My genuine ShyHawk came with this set up. I do not see any reason to have a resister cap running copper wire. What are others opinions?

    I wouldn't know how to tell the difference. I read and accept the consensus that the stock kit one is junk.

    quenching of back EMF that can damage some CDI units. though the HT cdi seems to be pretty immune to it.

    suppression of interference. cant have peoples radios making funny noises now, can we?

    also helps if you run LED lights or anything with circuitry inside... they get upset with too much EMI floating around.

    me? i run resistor boot, resistor plug, silicone leads... personal preference.
