Centering Mag Wheels

Having trouble with my mag wheels . With both axels the setup is too wide and it wont fit on my dropout . With only one spacer its not dead center so I shaved it down to only realize its center but it has play to slide on the other side of the axel . Also I was told I didn't have to use bearing caps since the bearings were sealed so I took those off and ended up losing them . I was told that using a 3/8 threaded rod as an axle would make things easier . Any advice on what im doing would be greatly appreciated as well as pics of your setups . Thankyou in advance ,
