What happened?
I was testing my engine on a incomplete bike, the master fell out, the driven portion of the chain coiled up into the clutch cover and jammed sending the loose end into the back of my ankle. Just a bloody contusion that's all, didn't crash or anything like that but I needed the walk the few blocks back home to get the kinks out of my leg. Walk it off, walk it off.

Yeah that chain whip hurts like heck, even through boots and pants. My experience was full throttle in 4th gear. One of the links just gave out on the chain and the chain wasn't even that old.

I lucked out on mine, most of the chain ran through before it jammed. I did break a chain on my dirt bike like you, that's a fun experience too.

The chain guards that come with the kits are junk, the metal is to thin to begin with and metal fatigue cause it to break on the front of the guard where it is mounted to the motor.

The only time I have seen this different is with the chainguard that comes with the Phantom 85...It is a thicker and heavier chainguard, the kit ones that come with all the other China Girl kits only weigh 5.5 ounces

I use this chainguard instead...bigger, sturdier, and weighs in a a full one pound...thats three times heavier than the standard kits guards.

Can you buy the heav(ier) duty one anywhere but SlimeAzon ?

At a minimum Wolfie use a sprocket guard. They do help.
