Does anyone know what size pitch the pedaling chain is on the infamous Walmart Cranbrook bicycle?

Worst case scenario, you should be able to take the chain to a local bicycles shop and they should be ale to figure it out.
I know where your dog is !

I have a Micargi 7 Speed Rover and any chain sold at Walmart or Bike Shop is to small.
After learning that and buying the rite chain from the technological point of view, (7-23 speed) or whatever the numbers are wouldnt fit, I took my old bike chain that broke to the bike shop and the Bike Shop owner insisted he gave me the rite chain. I had to open the chain he sold me in front of him then line up my old chain to show the new chain was 8 links to short. So he added 8 links free of charge and I'm good to go.
I hope you have your old chain. Your chain might just fit a standard (7-23 speed) so its possable you wont need the old chain.

It is single speed chain so use 410 chain which is 1/2" pitch.
KMC Z410 is a good choice.
