Chain tensioner problems

I had spring tensioner lost the wheel in 5 min lol and my tensioner that came with the kit just went through my spokes iam not very mechanically inclined but how do you get them tight I had it tightened as far as it would go?

Do what I did...eliminate the tensioner entirely by taking links out of both the drive chain and the pedal chain to custom fit so you do not need a tensioner...Like you see in my pic below.
