I bet the chain doesn't contact the rim, put on a skinnier tire. No, you don't have to put on same size of rim.

Oh, cool. I think my tire is the minimum size I can put on though. I'm having difficulty finding the correct rim. How do they measure the width of the rim? I have a 2.125" but it only measures 1.5" from the outer edges.

It will look odd but it should work. I have 2.125 tires on my bike and have no rubbing issues.

Huh, that's odd. My 2.125" tire is about 1/8" too wide. The chain is rubbing off material from the tire, its getting really thin. Hard to pedal too its really annoying

I'll look on Tuesday. I tried aligning it so many times, but I'll see if the forks are straight and all that too.

Try to align it with the top tube. Do you have a dished sprocket on the back?

Hey don't buy and high priced tire. Check mountain bikes there 1.95 most of the time.
