Check this before starting a new 142F 4 stroke

I was replacing the 2 carb mounting bolts today with 5mm ALL THREAD and discovered that the black plastic carb adapter had trapped a portion of the metal heat shield under it. C'mon ! Who engineered this. There was a huge gap at the gasket. There's no way this would idle ! I had to trim the heat shield to get clearance around the carb adapter and it's all good now. The All Thread will eliminate breaking a carb bolt or stripping the aluminum threads in the block, which seems to be a common ocurrance.
