If you have a 49mm bore engine, and are using/buying the CDH 49mm pistons.... check your anti rotation pins.
I just received 2 from CDH and both upper pins are mis-located and allow the ring to rotate. This will cause an almost instant ring snag and breakage.
You can see here in the pics that the ring slips right past the pin with room to spare. Also on the underside, you can see they missed the little casting feature where the pin is supposed to reside and drilled right through. Even if it kept the ring from rotating, its likely to work its way out like this and cause some serious damage.
In fact, check all your pistons. I have seen some early pin failures on varying engines that could be attributed to this very flaw.
