Black wire is ground so it counts as hooking up to the frame.

personally since I have to jam one kill switch wire into the blue wire bullet connector, I may as well cut the ground spade off the other and do it to black... makes things tidy.

all new builders end up having to look this information up. The rest of your average happy time kit can be figured out from the diagrams in the crappy instructions.
