I can only get a full choke chain for 20" bar, so that's what I run. I've cut down some pretty big fir trees with my old Husky 61.
Skip tooth is okay I guess, but when I touch wood I like the fur to fly.

Skip tooth is ok? Skip tooth is fast but vibrates more and needs more power. Skip tooth is awesome lol. Fur stays on the beaver, chips fly from the saw lol.

When I worked at the mill we had a big Stihl with 36" bar that I used to trim the ends off the boards before they went in the kiln. It was skip tooth chain and would hang up all the time. Makes hard work when you're trying to cut a 7' high by 4' wide pile of boards and the chain hangs up.
